Britney gets Sporty support

MEL C has offered a helping hand to troubled BRITNEY SPEARS.

The former Spice Girl has battled an eating disorder and depression in the past and wants to offer the Toxic star a shoulder to cry on.

And she feels she could coach Britney through a successful comeback.

Mel said: "I would love to work with Britney.

"There has been so much press speculation about her personal life recently - I think if I worked with her she might be able to express herself through music.

"I have had similar personal problems in my life, especially at the end of the Spice Girls, so it would be good if we could sit down and talk about our problems."

The stars have been lining up to sympathise with Britney since her recent breakdown and spell in rehab.

Ex JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE has voiced his support, as have CHER, JAMELIA, JENNIFER LOPEZ, JANET JACKSON.

I'm not sure the star needs Mel C's musical input though - she is currently working in the studio with R&B star NE-YO.
