DAVID Beckham’s auto-biography is among the books Britons are least likely to finish reading, a poll revealed yesterday.
His tome David Beckham: My Side takes third place in a list of unread non-fiction works, with 27 per cent unable to stick with it till the end.
The only two which fared worse were David Blunkett’s The Blunkett Tapes — unfinished by 35 per cent — and Bill Clinton’s My Life, 30 per cent.
Other abandoned non-fiction books include Jade Goody’s autobiography and Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Stop Smoking.
Booker-prize winning murder mystery Vernon God Little, by DBC Pierre, tops the list of fiction works which readers could not finish, according to the Teletext study.
JK Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire — is in second place.
The average Brit spends £4,000 on books in their lifetime but nearly half remain unread, the poll shows.
